The conditions for playing was not that good to start with as there was slight drizzle, wind and wet outfield. Thomas quickly got into action with the Super Sopper who took away all the water near the pitch.
As the match was about to start the weather condition changed.
Toss was won by Aliens and our captain decided to bowl first and utilize the condition.
The first spell was done by Jojy and Ranjit.
It was Jojy's debut match opened the bowling & got his first wicket in third bowl (eventually first ball as the first two were called wide) for aliens.
Ranjit on the other end started with some in-swingers. Two consecutive catches were dropped in three balls but third time was lucky to take the wicket in same over which was caught by Tom Cason.
By the end of the power play the score was 41/3.
Klemetsrud batters started to hit the balls in the gaps and squeezed in by running 2's , 3’s & few boundaries for next 4 overs in which the made 40 runs.
In the middle overs Dennis and Tom gave the breakthrough which pulled the scoring rate back. The last game power hitter for them was gone cheaply this time without doing any damage for a duck. Dennis got him clean bowled.
The last spell was between Christopher and Rasel who put the brakes and stopped the run flow. They both gave only 33 runs together in the last 6.4 overs in which Rasel got 2 wickets, Hitchie got a high caught and bowled and 2 run outs.
Target was set to 126 for Aliens to chase.
Aliens had missed few chances in the field and the fielding dropped compared to last game.
Aliens Batting:
Pratik and Dennis opened the batting to chase the target of 126.
The start was decent enough but in 3rd over Dennis was given leg before as he tried for the pull short but the ball did not bounce as expected hit the pad and was given lbw. Pratik and Anshul steadied the partnership for 21 runs. The second wicket fell for 33 on board in the 5 th over.
Aliens had the chase under control needing to run a ball after the power play.
The collapse started to happen yet again in the middle order for Aliens by losing 5 wickets for just 38 runs. By the end of 14th over the score was 75/7.
In the next six overs the target needed was 51 runs in 36 balls.
Benan and Sudhesh joined together and put on a partnership of 29 runs and tried their best to take it till end. Benan ran out of steam and was unable to hit those powerful shorts at the end.
In the end it was asking for too much for Sudhesh and Rasel who had to get 22 runs in 6 balls.
Aliens lost the match by 18 runs.
Klemetsrud continued their unbeaten streak in the division 3.
