After a week of sunshine the weather gods decided it should rain on match day. Luckily Dave’s rain dance saved the day. Aliens batted first and got off to a good score, with Pratik hitting a six in the first over. Anshul made an important 34 to anchor the innings with Dave (33) being the other main contributor. Aliens finished on 128-6, setting up the chase on the rapidly drying outfield.
Haugenstua got off to a roaring start, with both openers in the runs. Dennis bowled beautifully to restrict the early onslaught, and could have had the batsmen out multiple times if luck had have gone Aliens way. The Aliens worked hard to drag themselves back into the game, and despite the game not reaching the final over, there were a lot of positives to be taken from the fightback. Not in the least debut games for Sindre and Dipesh (who took 3 superb catches for a brilliant debut).
