This year's tour is now taking shape and Jeremy and I are pleased to announce the following tour package:
Fixtures
We have the following fixtures confirmed:
Saturday 26th April Little Gaddesden vs Oslo Aliens
Sunday 27th April Berkhamsted vs Oslo Aliens
Accomodation
Special weekend rates (applies Friday, Saturday and Sunday night)
- Single room, £65
- Double/twin room, £75 (ie. £37.50 per person per night)
(all rates per room per night, inclusive of room, cooked breakfast, parking, wireless internet access and vat).
Although they are upping their rates from March 1st 2008, we're getting last year's room rates (nice one Jeremy).
Events/Things to do
Jeremy has a few things up his sleeve. Watch this space!
Flights
As with last year, people are to organise their own flights and transport to and from airports. This should be a pretty painless task given the number of departures from Oslo Gardermoen to Heathrow daily.
Here is some additional information on how to get to/from Berkhamsted.
It would be appreciated if everybody could drop a line informing when they plan to travel and by which means, so that we can perhaps coordinate lifts to airports etc nearer the time.
Local transport
The furthest distance we have to travel once we arrive in Berkhamsted is a mere 7 miles. So once again we'll rely on the local cabbies to get us (safely) to our destinations.
What next?
We need to reserve hotel rooms ASAP. Therefore I request that everybody sends me the following:
- How many nights required.
- What type of room (single/double/twin)
- Names of any additonal tour party members
The hotel requires a deposit equivalent to 1 nights accomodation on each room. Once I have received the above info from everybody I will forward the names to the hotel and pay the room deposit by credit card. I will then send the tour party members my bank payment details so that I can be reimbursed.
